“He was the family’s horse trader and trainer. One of my fondest memories is of Daniel wearing his engineering cap and overalls; crawling under the legs of his horses showing off the relationship and trust between man and horse. Daniel passed away when I was still in my early teens, so very few sketches of Daniel were ever done.”
